Historic sites
For you who want to dive right into the wonderful world of French history and architecture you have an abundance of historic chateaux, cathedrals, abbeys, buildings and grounds to choose from within just an hour car drive.
You’ve just got 20 minute drive to Valençay and Chateau de bourges, 50 min to Chenonceaux, Chambord, Cheverny and within one hour to Chateau Royal d’Amboise, Chinon, and Chateau du Clos Lucé – just to mention some of all the amazing historical sites closeby you need to visit.
Shopping and dining
If you’re up for some shopping, dine at a nice restaurant, or perhaps visit some of the many flea markets and antique fairs in the region, there are plenty of beautiful villages and larger towns nearby (the closest being between 10 minutes away by car) depending how far you want to explore on that day.
Local producers
While you’re in the Loire valley why not visit our local wineyards and cheese producers. There are plenty of wineyards to visit. If you prefer a wine tasting in our wine cellar, we are happy to organize a tasting from one of the regional producers especially for you.

Car- and motorcycle enthusiasts
The surrounding roads that wind through pitoreque villages, cross over streams and rivers, and take you through rolling countryside/landscape would alone fill your entire day. Just ask Christopher and he’ll tell you some of the best routes.
We have two wellknowed car museums nearby. One is Automobile Museum in Valençay, and Matra automobile museum space in Romorantin.
If you are looking further to visit race tracks, there are probably some you’re already familiar with. By starting your car at C.D.F. you’ve got Les Circuits du Val de Loire 45-50 minutes away, Magny-Cours 2 h, and Le Mans 2h, 15 min. Or the old classic Circuite de Charade 2 1/2 away.
